Arrived Safely in Tanzania

Well after a long trip I have arrived safely in Tanzania.  I was met at the airport by Sister Renatus from the Huruma School of Nursing and we went over the NWC student schedule because they will be spending time and working with some Tanzanian nursing students.  It is always such a warm greeting from her.  Then my assistant Julius met me and had a bouqet of roses and a maasai blanket because he was afraid I would be cold here.  I was so touched by his sweet gesture.  Then Freeman my drive was there and is the nicest person and always wanting to please.  We then had a 45 minute drive to arrive in Arusha at Ahadi Lodge where I was warmly greeted by my friend Fiona.

I woke up this am and it was raining and cool here..needed a light jacket.  Then after breakfast Julius, Freeman and I went around and had meetings and made several phone calls to get things ready for the teams.  The first team from NWC arrives on Tuesday and we will meet them at the airport.  I am excited for them to enjoy and experience all the wonderful people here.

Tomorrow I am most honored to be going to church with my dear friends Wlson and Lillian.  I feel very honored because Wilson is a DC and has traveled to come see me. Then I am going to take them out to dinner to celebrate Mother's Day.

Fiona's girls came to visit me and I am always happy to get the big hugs from them and of course had some candy to share with them.

Love to all my family and friends.  Miss you already.
