Volunteer Story from Abbie and Alinda
At our outreach clinic today, we saw and treated over 100 patients. As we wrapped up our day, we were all physically and emotionally exhausted. Just as we were preparing to head home, a past patient, who was treated at Selian Hospital last summer by the Hope Ministries team, stopped us outside.
She presented to us last summer with a gruesome wound on her left leg that was the result of an accident. Without any intervention from Hope Ministries, this woman could have easily lost her leg, much less her life! It was powerful to see the results and impact that Hope Ministries’ medical team had on this woman. The entire team all cried as she hugged and thanked God for ‘Mama Gayle’. It made all of the difficulty that we had endured today in clinic so worth it. It was an absolute answer to prayer, and powerfully reminded us of the reason Hope Ministries exists. God sent us a tremendous message in a very powerful way.
