Well my bags are packed and I am ready to depart tomorrow. I have been praying daily for God’s guidance as I have been preparing for this mission trip to Tanzania. I will departing tomorrow by myself, so that I can do Hope business and get things ready for the team to arrive. I have done all that I can do to prepare, and I have turned this all over to God. My prayer for departure is:
Heavenly Father, I’m so humbled that you would call me to anything. You have all the power needed for every job, yet you ask me to join you. Thank you Lord. Please make my heart willing to say yes to everything you want me to do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
You and I have the opportunity every day to be a witness of God’s healing love to a world of wounded hearts. One of my favorite sayings is, “God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called.” If you are HIs, then you are called. Not because of who you are or what you can do, but because God can and will do His work through you.
Please pray for my safe journey. We will be blogging every day, depending on if we have electricity and internet. Sending a lot of love to all the people who have provided prayers, financial and article donations, and for all the love you have shown the people of TZ. Sending a lot of hugs to my family and I pray that they stay safe and well while I am gone.
I want to send out a special thanks to Father Joe for taking time out of his busy day to stop by my house today. I enjoyed hearing about your wonderful God-filled journey. God had a plan for you Father and the joy and peace are written all over your face. Thanks for the special prayers, they gave me strength and I am now ready to serve God.
