Amazing Outreach at Tanzania Children’s Home

Volunteer Story from Foster –

Today, we visited a home for children with special needs called Share Tanzania. I was given the amazing opportunity to tour the different buildings with both Steve and Abiba. We were able to visit with many of the children currently living there.

After our tour, I assisted with medical checkups for many of the children at this home. A majority of the kids we assessed had cerebral palsy. Each child we visited had unique and specific needs that the amazing workers at Share Tanzania dutifully attended to. The amount of love the caregivers, nurses, and physical therapists working there have for the children was evident with the constant smiles and laughter that echoed through the clinic all day long. There were some incredibly challenging and sad cases, but every worker we spoke with was willing to do whatever was needed to give these children the best quality of life.

Today was both amazing and challenging, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the many different healthcare environments here. I also want to thank all of the donors who contributed to make the work that Hope Ministries does possible. Even after just the first day, it’s clear to see just how large the outreach network extends into the communities we serve and how so many lives have been influenced and bettered because of it.

Sending Prayers and Love, Foster
