Well all the medical team has returned home to the states. I am so blessed to have such a great team that came to serve with their hearts. I want to thank you all for what you did to help the poor people of Tanzania. I love these people and they are so appreciative for all we do for them. It warms my heart to see how many lives can be changed by Hope Ministries providing them with free health care at clinics and then paying for surgeries they cannot afford. Thanks to all our donors for helping make this possible. I wish that you could all travel with me so you could see first-hand the people you are helping.
I am now having the pleasure of going on safari with Mark Wheeler, his wife and couple of friends. This is Mark’s last trip and they are finishing it with a safari. I never go on safari with the teams because I stay back and work. We had the honor of attending Julius church on Sunday and then Julius and his family made us a beautiful dinner. I then took them to Selian Hospital for a tour, so they could see where Mark and I work. They really enjoyed it.
I received this letter from a doctor who is waiting to see if he will be accepted into the orthopedic residency program at Bugando. He will be sponsored by Hope Ministries in honor of Bill Van Dyke who passed away and served on my board of directors since I started Hope Ministries. I miss him so much and he was a big supporter of the scholarship program.

You’re so positive focusing for the future generation, you have been providing the sponsorship for residency program, helping the junior doctors to develop their carriers, I remember your word from your own tongue- “Dr Emanuel you will go for residency and I know you will help so many people”
Your guidance, patience and encouragement have played a pivotal role in helping us to develop more skills and acquire more knowledge.
