Surgical Story from Volunteer, Foster
Today, we were at Bugando Hopsital. I was given the opportunity to observe both my dad and Dr. Reeder collaborate with the Bugando neurosurgeons to remove a brain tumor. This case was incredibly challenging. We don’t typically see cases like this in America. I learned so much about the importance of teamwork and open communication while in the operating room during my observations. The surgery was successful and the patient is expected to have a full recovery.
