Thursday, July 8th

Thankfully, the second half of our group made it safely to Tanzania with no worries. While that part of the group was traveling to Tanzania, the other half visited Featherstale Children’s Home to set up a clinic and examine children.  Some of the children we saw have cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, or other mental disabilities. God’s grace allowed some very special caretakers to work at Featherstale. These caretakers provide such great care for these children with no doubt intheir mind that this is what they want to do with their lives. To us, this relationship can be compared to what one would call true love.

Many of the children, some orphans and some not, quickly made friends with the mission students who visited them. It took a little bit, but after a short amount of time, the children were laughing, talking, and crawling all over the students. By the time we had to leave, the mission students were questioning if they ever wanted to go.

Some of the lessons we took away from today include the following: treat others the way you want to be treated. Always fully examine a situation before coming to a decision. Be grateful for the life you are given. Finally, praise the lord for everything he has given us.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and your support to make this journey possible.
