Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’
Luke 15:1-6
Above is a parable that provides hope for all the times where we have felt as if we’ve “gone too far” or have done “too much” in our lives to ever deserve God’s gracious love again. This parable reminds us that God leaves His 99 found sheep in search for us whenever we feel wandering or lost. He doesn’t forget about us in our absence. Instead, He searches for our hearts and He chooses to care for us every single day, even when we feel as if we do not deserve it.
Would you join us in prayer and ask God to comfort all those who feel lost and lonely in Tanzania today? Would you ask that He would move mountains and provide abundant love for those who feel far from Him all over this world?
