An Educational Experience with Lynn:
I had the opportunity to assist with the children’s HIV education program in the hospital today. One of the biggest problems with HIV is the stigma that surrounds it. A hospital employee created and organized a wonderful program thar educates HIV positive children about their diagnosis. She has been running this program for about 27 years now; she diligently works every day to break that stigma with her program. Her program helps 120 children who are HIV positive by educating them fully on what HIV is, how it is spread and the importance of their daily care and medications. Through the use of educational games, she is able to help the children understand their immune systems and how their medications help, as well as through games and counseling.
