No Victim

We are not defined by the labels this world gives to us, the trials this earth hands to us, or the darkness this world surrounds us with. No, we are defined by the One Almighty God, who tells us who we are and tell us who He is.

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” (Exodus 3:14)

His love will never change. “When the whole world changes, His love will remain the same.”

And God tells us who we are:

They will be called the Holy People,
the Redeemed of the Lord;
and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted. (Isaiah 62:12)

So when this world tries to come around us and feed us with the lies and slanders against our very own being, we have a greater identity than those who tarnish us. We have a stronger force than that of this world, and we have a grander destination than that of this earth. Let’s let God be the only One to define us. Let’s allow God to lead all our ways. And let’s understand that we are no victim, even if the world tries to label us as such. Let’s know that His plans for us are good. We just need to be asking, pursuing and seeking to be in step with His provision in our life, and God will be the one to deliver. Not our neighbors, not our employers, not even our family — but God is the one to define who we are, and God consistently tells us who He is. He is loving. He is tender. He is merciful. He is good. He never changes. His love will remain the same. May we shout this from the rooftops from America to the heartland in Tanzania and let everyone, near and far, know all the Goodness that God’s love has to offer.

With Love,
