Impactful Experiences

A Volunteer Story by Aaron:

Everyday can be thought of as a lesson. Early this morning, one of our groups headed out to Selian Hospital for another day of surgeries. God blessed us all with a successful day of operation. We completed a total of eight, amazing surgeries today. Both the nursing students and surgeons learned a lot from one another other during each surgery. It is amazing to see the amount of education everyone receives here on behalf of Hope Ministries. It is information that we can all use and apply in our future while serving others. One of the lessons the nursing students learned today is that hard work, humility and dedication can be the road to success for future dreams. We feel incredibly blessed to have learned from such wise medical personnel and all the doctors here with Hope Ministries.

The other half of our team visited different hospice patients’ homes to care and supply food for the residents. An overwhelming sense of gratitude fell upon the group after supporting each hospice patient. Each situation they encountered made them incredibly thankful for their blessings and privileges they have back home.

With this trip, all of our eyes have been opened and minds have been educated with each of our experiences in Tanzania. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity with Hope Ministries.
