Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:7-8
When times grow weary and days grow hard and when we begin to worry that we are no longer “right” with God for all the mistakes we have made in our past, may we be reminded that it is not our power nor behavior that earns God’s love or grace. For we did not love God first; God was the One who graciously loved us first, at the very beginning of time. Even when we didn’t deserve a thing, He still loved us and sent His only son for our behalf.
When Hope Ministries journeys across seas to serve in Tanzania, we spread our love in different locations both near and far. We are able to do so, not because of our own will or might, but because of God and all His Love. With God’s Love, we are then able to love one another throughout all the different places we visit and serve in Tanzania.
Today we are grateful for the work we do, and we recognize it is truly not of our own doing but of God’s gracious Love and Might. Friends and family, may we love one another as God has loved us and be reminded of the beauty of His Love today.
