Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
(Romas 8:35-37)
Despite all the hardships that we witnessed on our most recent trip across seas, from severe poverty to the lack of nourishment and heartwrenching medical cases, God’s love is still faithful. Not only does this apply to everyone we have been given the opportunity to serve in Tanzania, but it also applies to each and every one of our stories as well. Despite any hardships or trials that life throws at us, still, God’s love is near, still, God’s love is present, still, God’s love is constant.
May we pray over the individuals that are experiencing hardship within Tanzania. May we pray over the individuals enduring trials throughout all of America, and may we take a moment to pray over our own current hardships that we currently are walking through in life today.
And may we remember, Jesus is here. Jesus is present. Jesus is real.
