Saturday, July 10th – A Volunteer Story from Sarah
This morning the team departed to go to the Merenai village to do a medical clinic. In total, we were able to see over 120 patients and tend to their needs. One case that made the biggest
impact on me was the first case we had. It was a mother who had an open wound on her ankle for over six years. It was infected all the way down to her bone. This woman sold her house in an attempt to get the money to pay for the medical expenses, and that still was not enough. She came to us looking for an answer, and we were so elated to give her some hope. We were able to refer her to come back and see us at the hospital so that Hope Ministries can continue to treat her further, free of charge. This was such a rewarding moment.
