Today we assessed different patients at a local hospital. The most heartbreaking case today was a sweet, four year old patient that was admitted at KCMC. She had a very distended abdomen. Her mom said it’s been this way for the past two years.
Her tests results from this week came back inconclusive; they are going to do an exploratory surgery to release the fluid in the abdomen followed by biopsies. Her blood counts are extremely low, so they are giving her blood transfusions. Hope Ministries was able to collaborate with the medical team to help provide care for this little one. We then provided the mother with some financial assistance to help cover some of the costs this week brought.
Hope Ministries does their best to treat patients thoroughly and provide the best medical care that would have otherwise not been provided at all.
