1.14.17 Safari Travels

Hello All! It’s Allyson, Trish, and Shelby!

We have been fortunate enough to get a little break and go on a safari with Julius for the last three days. Honestly, for us to try and describe this safari in a few short words may be fairly difficult – it was such an amazing, beautiful experience and one that we will always remember.

The first day was spent in the Tarangire National Park – we saw plenty of God’s beautiful creatures including many elephants, zebras, lions, impalas, a cheetah, and various birds and other small creatures. The elephants actually came pretty close to our vehicle,
so it was fun to be able to be that close outside of the circus as young kids

The next day we went to the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation, and it was one of all of our favorites! Many beautiful creatures were again seen in vast array, and we were able to eat lunch down by the hippos and their habitats! We learned a lot about all of
the different animals and plants from Julius – he was a great guide for putting up with the three of us the last couple of days!

Another one of our favorites moments was hiking up to the Elephant waterfall and cave – the view made it all worth while. It was such a humbling experience to be able to be present in God’s beautiful creation without just believing everything we have seen on
animal planet, but being fortunate enough to be able to experience it ourselves.
